Course Objectives

Climb a California 14er to the summit of Middle Palisade.

Itinerary

Day 1: We’ll meet at the town of Big Pine at 8:30am, after a morning pack check and dispersing the group gear, we’ll caravan up to the Big Pine Creek overnight trailhead. Once our packs are on, we begin our hike up to our camp at Finger Lake.   

Day 2: Summit day! We wake up around 5am. After a quick breakfast we begin the approach to the base of Middle Palisade. Middle Palisade is mostly about moving over 4th class terrain, we climb up the Northeast Face to the summit before descending back down the same route to camp.   

Day 3: After a leisurely morning, we eat breakfast and pack up camp for the walk out!
