Lone Pine Peak

Lone Pine Peak is located in what could be in the top ten alpine cirques of the world! It’s east face looms over anyone driving up the Whitney Portal Road as if to say “climb me if you dare!” While seemingly impossibly from first sight the North Ridge offers an amazing first climb to experience Sierra ridge climbing. At a modest grade of 5.5 and just over 5,000ft of gain from the car, the North Ridge of Lone Pine is a great way to learn to climb with an overnight pack and offers great prep for those with aspirations for larger ridge climbs! Valhalla’s certified guides can help you check off your next bucket list climb!
