Learn to Lead Trad and Multi Pitch Climbs

Are you ready to lead climb outside? During this course we will go over everything from leading traditional climbs to leading multi pitch climbs. We do recommend people have a background leading sport routes either outside or in the gym. Our course is perfect for anyone who wants to step up there confidence on outdoor climbs, whether that is multi pitch climbs or trad climbs. This is a 2 day course encompassing everything from anchor building to leading your first climbs and setting up your top rope anchors. During day 2 we dive deep into the art of multi pitch climbing.

Itinerary
Day 1
Meet at the climbing destination at 8:30 a.m.
Spend the morning learning to place rock protection and solid three piece anchors
Learning the basics of lead climbing
Lunch
Spend the afternoon building anchors using trees, bolts, and rocks.
The day is finished learning traditional multi pitch anchor building
Day 2
Lead Climbing practice
Setting top anchors
Multi Pitch Climbing Practice
Prerequisites
Some experience leading climbs in the gym or experience outdoor rock climbing
